SjöKong Ball in Hong Kong! 2(2)

Where sailors come and go there will be a mark after them. In Hong Kong the Navy has been present with one of the most dedicated reserve officers you can think of.
The Royal Swedish Navies reserve officers, have for many centuries been the cultural carrier of moral, values and dedication to their country. After serving their country for many years they maintain the traditions and their dedication. Starting up when they are still young. During their student life they organize their social life joyning and engaging in the reserve officers student corps and even after they go further into their civil live and careers they keep in touch, attend the corps´ ball every year and market the Navy all around the world.

A new corps was establish in October 2011 in Hong Kong, by reserve officer LTC Michael Zell and his wife Mita, called SjöKong. Several Navy Reserve Officers and their wives flow into Hong Kong to celebrate the event!
Anders and I were asked to be their Inspector and Inspectrix, and we couldn’t be anything else then very proud to be chosen for the position. We were installed at the Gun Room in the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club.

The most beautiful member of SjöKong!

After our installation, Anders was obliged to inspect the corps, which went very well but nevertheless the woman present topped the men by far!

The evening was filled with tales about the adventures everybody had during their time in the Royal Swedish Navy. In the meantime we enjoyed a wonderful dinner with good wines and of cause as Swedish tradition require many songs.
