SWEOR & the Nordic Club gathered for Chocolate Wine tasting.

On the second floor high up on the fashionable city area called Itaewon, in a well asorted delicate shop, over 20 women gathered for a Chocolate Wine tasting.

The two spouses’ clubs had arranged this activity together, giving us the possibility to meet new people who can help each other in many different areas but also to introduce this “market place”. Here we can find delicates from different parts of the world and also a very nice selection of different wines. Sometime it does feel good to have access to the familiar things you’re used to, living far away from your home country, can strangely make you miss certain ingredients and products.

Dan Schulte, the sommelier and CEO for Pieroth Wines*) in Korea, and the staff of the Deli, had prepared several wines and trays with pieces of chocolates for us, so we could learn about blending these tastes. If you want to try it, which I really can recommend, think about that the higher the cacao percentage in your chocolate is the dryer the wines need to be, in order to have a good combination of flavours.

*)If you live here in Seoul, you can participate to the BIGGEST WINE TASTING in the world on Sunday the 20th of November: 06:30 to 08:00 Pieroth Wines, will have and attempt to break the current World Record for the largest synchronized Wine Tasting in the World. Cover Charge W20,000 For reservations and information contact: service@pierothwines.co.kr or call: 02-711-9171
