(Retrieved blog from Friday, 9 March 2012) Attending the Naming Ceremony of STENA ICEMAX, the world's first Polar Class drilling ship!

Invited by the CEO of Stena AB,Carl-Johan Hagman , to be part of Stena Drillings, latest most advance drilling vessel (http://www.stena-drilling.com/pdf/BROCHURE-STENA_DRILLMAX_ICE.pdf), we travelled with the KTX to Busan. Of course very happy to see…..the sea again!
A new pearl to my string of memories was added the past days, attending the Naming ceremony of the Stena DrillMAX Ice at Samsung Shipyard in Geoje.

We could see the presence of Stena Drilling all around the hotel! Even the door keys had the Stena DrillMAX Ice picture!

We enjoyed a wonderful program, with fabulous organization, met interesting, knowledgeable and fun people. After we witness the Naming and celebrated not only the ship but also the long and good cooperation between Stena and Samsung Heavy Industries, we had a tour throughout this high-tech ship and finished up with a joined luncheon for over 250 people. Definitely a day and people to remember!
What a way to travel......................
to Geoje.
